TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go guide

Miles&Go is the program of TAP Air Portugal, a member of Star Alliance. You earn Bonus Miles to spend and Status Miles toward status, and each TAP fare pays a different share of the distance. You move up with Status Miles or by flying a number of TAP flights in your annual earning period.

Earning on TAP flights
You earn miles on all flights operated by TAP and TAP Express, in proportion to the distance flown and the fare you choose.

TAP also sells Economy Prime fares on intercontinental flights: Prime earns 150% and Top Prime 175%.

What your Miles&Go level means across Star Alliance
Reaching these levels gives you Star Alliance status, recognized by every Star Alliance airline. Levels below the first one listed carry no alliance status.

What each Star Alliance status gives you
Star Alliance Silver
- Priority waitlisting when your class of service is fully booked
- Priority airport standby (where the law allows)
Star Alliance Gold
- Everything in Silver
- Priority check-in
- Priority boarding (where available)
- Priority baggage handling
- Extra baggage allowance: 20 kg or one more piece, depending on the airline
- Lounge access at over 1,000 lounges worldwide, when flying any Star Alliance airline (some restrictions apply)
- Gold Track fast lanes at security and immigration, where available

Who it suits
Travelers who fly TAP between Portugal, Europe, Africa and the Americas. Gold is also reachable on flights alone: 50 TAP flights in a year is enough.
