Royal Orchid Plus is the program of Thai Airways, a member of Star Alliance. You earn miles by your fare class and the distance flown, with a minimum of 500 miles per flight, and the Qualifying Miles you earn on Thai flights count toward Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Reaching these levels gives you Star Alliance status, recognized by every Star Alliance airline. Levels below the first one listed carry no alliance status.

- Priority waitlisting when your class of service is fully booked

Star Alliance Gold
- Everything in Silver
- Priority check-in
- Priority boarding (where available)
- Priority baggage handling
- Extra baggage allowance: 20 kg or one more piece, depending on the airline
- Lounge access at over 1,000 lounges worldwide, when flying any Star Alliance airline (some restrictions apply)
- Gold Track fast lanes at security and immigration, where available

Who it suits
Travelers who fly Thai between Bangkok and Asia, Europe or Australia. Because Gold can be reached by sectors, 40 international Thai flights in a year work even on lower fares in the right booking classes.
